Live Photography Live Photography - Spector 45
Spector 45 was a "greaser punk" band helmed by Frankie Campagna, the son of noted Deep Ellum impresario and Kettle Art Gallery curator Frank Campagna. Foundation 45, renamed in 2025 to Amplified Minds, was established as a response to the suicides of Frankie and Spector 45 bassist Adam Carter in early 2011, as well as in response to a rash of other suicides that swept through the local music community. The organization offers free mental health services, with outreach to area artists and musicians.
I only saw Spector 45 perform live twice, but I was very casually acquainted with Frankie and still have one of his business cards as a keepsake. These pictures were taken very early into my time photographing live bands, but I've decided to showcase them here given the importance of the band to the Deep Ellum music community.
